If you don’t have (or have never had) kids, please don’t tell me what to expect. Not only that, if your never even really been around kids… I don’t want to hear it.
Getting up in the middle of the night with a baby is not the same thing as taking your dog out in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. When I say how tired pregnancy has made me, or comment on how a 30 pound 2 year old is getting heavy to hold, don’t say, “get used to it!” If you have never experienced it for yourself.
Don’t compare taking care of a child to taking care of your dog. It’s not the same. It’s a responsibility, yes, but not quite like taking care of another human.
